- Set up conditions where your child can learn
- Do not try to potty train an infant
- Read Books about Potty Training
- Take your child to the potty when you go to the potty
- Skip the pull ups.
- Skip the treats and celebrate with clapping but also celebrate other things.
- Start with naked potty training, then move to pants with no undies and then move to undies.
- Be prepared to spend a few days at home.
- When your child acts like they are going to poop, give them the words for it. Do you want to poop in the potty?
- If your child poops in his/her pants put the poop in the potty and say poop goes in the potty you will remember soon!
- Watch for constipation
